Artist Bio
Alana Clumeck
Born in the coastal town of Margaret River, Western Australia, Alana grew up surrounded by creativity. With a father who was a potter and a mother who was an artist, she spent much of her childhood in the pottery studio or watching her mother paint. It wasn’t until eleven years ago, during her pregnancy with her son, that she first picked up a paintbrush. Struggling with perinatal depression, she found painting to be a therapeutic escape. Since discovering this artistic outlet, Alana has fully embraced her passion for painting and continues to explore her creativity. Her work has been featured in multiple publications, and she has written and illustrated two children’s books: The Extraordinary Pony and The Bear and the Moon. Alana recently relocated her family from California to South Carolina, where she paints from her home studio in Landrum, SC.
