MK Botanicals

Miles and Kathryn Foskey are pressed botanical artists based out of Atlanta and Madison Georgia. They offer one of a kind, pressed and preserved botanical pieces that are unique to their own size, shape, texture and color. Their method consists of drying each piece in a traditional wood press and books, where the foliage and flowers can take up to several weeks to dry. They pick the most pristine pieces when they are at their peak, before pressing, mostly from local areas surrounding Atlanta and Madison, GA.

Miles grew up in Augusta, GA and graduated from Georgia College and State University with a B.S. in Mathematics and Minor in Dance. She has always had a love and appreciation for art and the idea of MK Botanicals became official in 2021, after spending a few years preserving and pressing pieces for her own home. She currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and two dogs. Miles’s pressing style combines symmetrical groupings with clean and even lines.

Kathryn grew up in Madison, GA and graduated from Georgia College and State University and had a successful career in Marketing. She currently lives in Madison, GA with her husband and two dogs. She loves spending time with her family and can often be found scavenging around their property or family’s farm collecting foliage year-round. She has always had a connection to nature and passion for being outdoors. Kathryn’s pressing style incorporates more looseness and less rigid groupings.
