Artist Bio
Rae Broyles
Born in Chicago, IL Rae is a fourth-generation painter. Her father studied with Norman Rockwell and she studied at The Rhode Island School of Design under Richard Merkin and Mahler Ryder. She has also attended The Academy of Art in Chicago, IL and Moulin de Perot in the South of France and plans to return to France this fall for a 5-week residency. Rae has shown her work at many Atlanta galleries including The Lowe Gallery, Huff Harrington and many galleries throughout the US. She has accumulated numerous national awards and is a former national member of the prestigious A.I.R. Gallery in New York. She has taught at Fine Arts Workshop in Atlanta and also founded Fountainhead Art Space; a community artists atelier and workshop studio. In 2023 Rae will be featured as a solo artist at Quinlan Center for the Arts in Gainesville, GA.
