Collection: Laura Davis Shainker

Her contemporary landscapes explore the abstract beauty of patterns, shapes, and open spaces through simplified forms and harmonious color palettes. Inspired by the American South, the Lowcountry, and the French countryside, her work draws from memory, observation, and meaningful places, often featuring marshes, waterways, florals, and architectural elements.

After studying at the University of Georgia and beginning a career in business, she later devoted herself to the visual arts while raising her three children. She has taught art, owned the Art School of Sandy Springs, and, since 2019, has focused on painting full time.
